Noble Ridge Vineyard & Winery in Okanagan Falls has plenty to celebrate. After the devastating January 2024 winter freeze, the winery’s vineyards have recovered impressively, with the 2025 harvest delivering encouraging yields and exceptional fruit quality.
Our latest tasting features three distinctive Noble Ridge wines: the elegant 2022 The Pink One Sparkling Rosé, the fruit-forward 2025 Noble Pinot Noir, and the structured 2022 Reserve Meritage.
Located on the slopes overlooking Vaseux Lake, Noble Ridge has built its reputation on premium estate-grown wines, with a particular focus on traditional-method sparkling wines and Bordeaux-style red blends.

The three releases demonstrate the winery’s versatility, from a delicate sparkling rosé to an approachable Pinot Noir and a more powerful, oak-aged Meritage.
Noble Ridge The Pink One Sparkling Rosé 2022 ($45)

Price: $45 | Okanagan Valley | 100% Pinot Noir
Vineyard
The Pinot Noir grapes were sourced from Noble Ridge’s Home Vineyard in Okanagan Falls, where the vines grow on north- and south-facing slopes.
The soils consist of glacial-fluvial deposits of sand, gravel and rock. Pinot Noir clones 114, 115, 777 were planted in 2001 and 2008 and trained using the Geneva Double Curtain system.
The grapes were harvested on September 26, 2022, at 18° Brix.
Winemaking
The Pinot Noir grapes received four hours of skin contact to develop the delicate rosé colour before the free-run juice was separated and cool-fermented.
The wine was produced using the traditional method, with secondary fermentation in the bottle and 31 months en tirage to develop texture and complexity.

Noble Ridge Reserve Meritage 2022 ($43)

Price: $43 | Okanagan Falls | Bordeaux-style Red Blend
Vineyard
The 2022 Reserve Meritage combines grapes from Noble Ridge’s Home and Stony Knoll vineyards in Okanagan Falls and Tavares Vineyard in Oliver.
The vineyards feature north- and south-facing slopes with glacial-fluvial deposits of sand, gravel and rock.
The blend brings together four classic Bordeaux varieties, including Merlot from vines originally planted in 1986 and 1999.
Winemaking
The grapes were destemmed and crushed, then fermented at 28°-30°C.
The wine was aged for 14 months in French and American oak barrels (75% French oak, 25% American oak). A substantial 18% of the barrels were new, contributing structure and complexity to the finished wine.

Noble Ridge’s Remarkable 2025 Harvest Recovery

Following the devastating January 2024 cold snap, Noble Ridge undertook extensive work to retrain its damaged vines. By the 2025 harvest, those efforts were delivering results that exceeded expectations.
In his harvest update, winemaker Benoit Gauthier described an abundant crop, with yields approaching the winery’s 10-year average across all vineyard blocks, a welcome surprise compared with his initial forecast.
Fruit quality was equally encouraging. Chardonnay was already standing out for its intense flavours and excellent balance.
The report marked an important step in Noble Ridge’s recovery. The following Pinot Noir offers an opportunity to taste fruit from that promising 2025 season.
