Garnet in color with a mild nose. On the mid palate, at first it displays some soft red cherry notes along with some earthy notes … and then … as it hits the back of the mouth, out of nowhere comes a wallop of black pepper and spicy notes that completely overwhelm the nice fruit. It’s nide and dry with some nice acidity and tannins, but it’s really hard to get over the mouth of pepper and spice. I will be generous and give this an86-87, honestly if I had more, I would return them (be sure and keep your receipts with the LCBOs new policies). This wine would definitely earn a yuck rating …
I do admit, tenacity of paying $27.95 meant I did finish it …

Product Details
Sweetly ripe with savoury nuances, the wine shows dark berry, dried herb, earthy mushroom, and toasted almond characters. The palate displays juicy fruit flavours with fine texture and polished tannins, finishing persistent and pleasingly dry. At its best: now to 2029. (Sam Kim,wineorbit.co.nz,August 2025)
